Getting Ready for Their Beachside Wedding
I took the long drive to the east side of Oahu and enjoyed the sun and scenery along the way. It was easy to capture bridal details with the big windows in this Airbnb. Instead of a train or tiara, Lexi wore this pretty bow that went beautifully with her summer wedding gown.
Capturing My First Wedding
After capturing the getting-ready photos, we went to the beach! The sound of the waves and the kids playing helped me keep calm as I enjoyed the moment of finally photographing my first wedding! I learned so much while photographing this wedding. Lexi, Grant, and their families and friends were so kind and welcoming to me.
A lesson I learned from this day is finding the balance between handling relationship dynamics and advocating for great photos. Choosing between great photos and keeping your bride and groom relaxed and happy, which makes even better photos, is a balance but rewarding. Kindness goes a long way, and so does prayer. This group was a dream to work with!
An Intimate Beach Wedding
With the warm sand between my toes, I captured Lexi and Grant as they shared their vows privately on an outlook next to the beach. The sun accomplished its work to make our bride glow and give us a beautiful backdrop for them to express their love and vows to each other. It was hard to keep it together as I enjoy love stories!
The Best Sunset Beach Wedding
Family, friends, and the soothing sound of the waves surrounded Lexi and Grant as they started the ceremony. Chaplain Verdin guided them through the commitment they were making and exchanging their rings. These two love birds were then pronounced husband and wife with the backdrop of a golden pink sunset! It was a breathtaking ceremony with the Lord doing His work in the skyline, and I’m so grateful to be there to capture it!
