Join me and the Zachary family as I take their outdoor family photos at this picturesque spot in Oregon.
Outdoor Family Photos and Young Love
Since I have known Jenn & Rocky for many years, I jumped at the opportunity to photograph them and their family. Jenn was my photographer for my wedding eleven years ago, and I will never forget how she influenced me to become a photographer. I’ll share more about that in another blog post.
Whenever I remember all those years ago I can only describe their young love. Jenn & Rocky were fun together and full of fire. They married right out of high school and started their family and they were always so passionate about each other and in sync. Their relationship influenced my search for a husband because I wanted the same kind of deep friendship along with the fire! There’s no shortage of love in their outdoor family photos!
Driving Through Farmland for an Outdoor Family Photos
Certainly, growing up in the Willamette Valley, I’ve come to appreciate the unique beauty of farmland sunsets. Although Hawaii’s beach sunsets are also stunning in their way, there’s something special about the peacefulness of the fields back home. I love listening to the crickets, geckos, and crashing waves in Hawaii. But in the Willamette Valley, it’s much quieter and more serene, making it feel like home.
Also, Jenn is the lead photographer of J & Six Photography in Oregon, and her kids, like most photographer’s kids, have had plenty of practice following directions. The Zachary kids were patient and had the sweetest smiles for their outdoor family photos. We got some single portraits of each of the kids, and they were excited to each have a photo with their mom and dad. These kids were as peaceful as the wind blowing through the tall grass.
Keeping the Fires Burning Bright
Although Jenn & Rocky have been through a lot, what I love about them is the way they support each other, no matter what. They are leaving a legacy for these kids and gifts of examples of loyalty, commitment, and love. I love capturing memories like these for their outdoor family photos. I’m grateful to have a couple that keeps the fire burning in their relationship. The sun wasn’t the only thing blazing hot at this session!
