Rainy Day Oahu Senior Portraits
Here in Hawaii, there are many beach options for Oahu senior portraits. Soon-to-be graduate, Shamirra wanted the deep colors of Hawaii’s greenery to interact with during her graduation session.
Rain for the Rainforest
One way Hawaii keeps its luscious green foliage is its rainy seasons which we are currently in, so it’s no surprise our rain date ended up drizzling! We were determined to get these graduation photos for our darling Shamirra, so we found a few workarounds to get through this rainy session.
Doting an all-black outfit, this girl came out with the best confidence! I love the black dress she chose with the denim jacket. It complimented her personality and let her sweetness shine through. During her session, we did our best to keep things light as the snails came out from their hiding places, and the rich blue sky hid behind the clouds from us the whole time. Overhangs and timing helped shield us from the drizzle as we created her senior portraits.
Styling for Comfort and Personality
My clients receive a style guide from me to assist with their outfit choices, and they have free rein to put together an outfit they are comfortable with and feel like themselves in. It helps them feel confident and natural during their session, creating images molded by the client’s character.
Getting to know Shamirra more during this session was such a treat! Not only is she smart (congrats on graduating a year early!), she’s gorgeous!
She inspires me because of her drive to become a chef. I’m excited to see how her personality and character will infuse into her vocation! What an exciting season of life she’s in; Happy Graduation, Shamirra!!
