Graduation Pictures in the Garden: The Heather Session

In this session, I’m sharing the graduation pictures of my dear sister-in-love, Heather, as she set out to improve the quality of life for those with respiratory challenges.

Graduation Pictures for a Future Respiratory Therapist

Heather graduated from her respiratory care program at Mt. Hood Community College this year. What better way to celebrate her than with this graduation photoshoot! I love capturing memories for her at this stage of her career with photos she can also use in her professional life. Graduation portraits are not just for graduating high schoolers but are an investment for those graduating college, trade school, certification program, or starting a business. Now she’ll have a gallery of photos to choose from when she needs them!

The Road to Heather’s Graduation Pictures

While preparing to take these graduation portraits, I learned that Heather has challenges with asthma. After graduating from the respiratory care program, she wants to help other asthmatics as a Respiratory Therapist. She inspires me with her courage to face challenges and compassion for others. One of my favorite perks of being a photographer is meeting compassionate people who make a difference!

The Growing Graduation Portraits Garden

For Heather’s graduation photoshoot, we walked through an array of roses in this beautiful rose garden. I have a love for floral design because of this very rose garden. The roses open up in the summer, parade their beautiful colors and shapes, and give a soft place to land for pollinators. It just takes my breath away every time! I’m inspired by how God created and sustains these blooms as the Master Gardener. It was a dream to have a photoshoot here in this garden!

As we wrapped up Heather’s graduation pictures, the sun started to set beyond the tree line. I thought about how she was closing the day on her initial education and starting a new day for her career. I’m so proud of all her hard work and excited to see her improve the lives of many as a Respiratory Therapist.
