Aloha, I’m Ila!
I’m a photographer but I’m also a wife, a mama, a sister, and someone who truly believes God’s given me this job because it allows my creative gift and passion to have a purpose!
A FEW OF MY MILESTONES
In 2012, I married the love of my life, Joshua, who serves in the U.S. Air Force and is my best friend! In 2014, I fell in love at first sight with our only living child, Liam. He is our rainbow baby & miracle child. In 2016, I purchased my first DSLR camera and started as a hobbyist photographer. I spent many years building experience from photographing my family, and volunteering to photograph church events, including my favorite to photograph — baptisms!
In January of 2022, I graduated from the New York Institute of Photography while I was also second shooting for a colleague. In 2022, I began my first year in business! July is the official anniversary month of Ila Marshall Photography!

- My communication style can be described as laid back and encouraging, with light directions.
My greatest goal is to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera. I take a more experience-focused approach to photography. Whether I’m helping you pick out outfits that look great on you and photograph well, or guiding you through the session, I truly believe your experience is the most important part of loving your photos, and I’m here to help!
